Looking for a CRO - Grow ShoppinPal to $100M ARR with full ownership of Sales, BD and Marketing 
Location: Remote (anywhere in the US or Canada)

ShoppinPal is looking for a stellar VP of Sales / Growth to take complete ownership of our journey from $1M to $100M in revenue. We are currently seeing 20% MoM growth without a sales team. Your charter is to turbo charge our growth by working closely with the leadership to guide the outbound sales process with emphasis on scaling and automation combined with sensible touch points as needed, along with the Inbound strategy that ties in seamlessly with Outbound and the product roadmap.  

 

You will need to own lead gen and use deeper market research - sub segments, TAMs for  each, and appropriate hyper targeted strategies for each. This needs to happen well before the larger Sales team is hired (by you) so we can scale efficiently by focusing on the right segments and a proven approach within each segment.  

 

Improve conversion ratio at the bottom of the funnel (leading to POC > Revenue). Reduce sales cycles with larger accounts; it’s important to have an understanding of how to navigate a multi decision maker structure and how to creatively and quickly get past hurdles that delay the sales process.  

 

While the extended sales org is being built, it’s important to have the hunger and ability to drive results in a hands-on manner by executing on-field GTM strategy that has been decided with the leadership. Ability to hit the ground running and drive early conversion from existing prospects. Having existing contacts / relationships in our target verticals is preferred but not a must.  

 

Competitive base comp + 1X variable/performance + equity.

Success criteria (teaser - not a full list)

  • Build a handful of hypotheses on which segments to go after and the strategy/playbook for each of those. Need to be able to do a TAM analysis along with ease of selling, ensuring minimal incremental effort for the product. 

  • Narrow down segments with a well-defined playbook. 

  • Clearly defined hiring plan for the extended sales and marketing team.

  • Clarity on mix of outbound and inbound and lining up whatever is needed for each front.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth.

  • Proven track record of growing revenue through new product. development, marketing, branding, and partnerships.

  • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy.

  • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy.

  • History of decision-making based on business metrics.

  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.

  • Track record of “sustainable growth” by making the right tradeoffs for the deals and product roadmap, i.e. we should have the choice if and when to raise after hitting this milestone. 

Preferred Qualifications

Strong technical experience with sales automation and marketing tooling such as Hubspot, Apollo etc.
